"The Yehtze File"

I have finally found a place to store my writing stuff. It is
"The Yehtze File".

Although I am not a writer, I recall that Andy Rooney once said:
"A writer's great pleasure is revealing to people things they knew,
but did not know they knew". With that in mind, I write to reveal
things, which I already knew, solely to myself. But what I know now
may be forgotten someday down the road. I am also the person,
once in a while, like to retrieve what I had done in the past, including
my own writings. Our thinking or the way we think does change over
time. It is always interesting to see what we had done or what we
had thought years back.

And therefore, "The Yehtze File" is a storage place for me to dump
my thoughts now and to retrieve later. I got the idea to name my
"file" from "The Osgood File" of Charles Osgood. It is the
"葉子檔案".

Over years, I had quite a few writings in Chinese, which were
accepted and printed in our Alumni Bulletin "Jing-Fu Bulletin". Ever
since our class started our own class website, I began my writings in
English language and boldly posted them in our class website. I know
very well there were plenty of misspellings and incorrect grammar
usages in my writings. However, I believe I have had my messages
passed on to the classmates.

I remember well when I first came to the States that I had trouble
expressing my thought through my broken English and our Medical
Director seemed to be very understanding and try to encourage me
by saying "I see what you mean".

Inspired by Andy Rooney, who had always been so honest and
innocent to express his own opinion on various subjects, big and
small, ordinary and out of ordinary, in his books "Word for Word",
"And More by Andy Rooney" in the CBS "60 minutes" program, etc,
I now put my own thought and opinion in "The Yehtze File".
