Pictures of Children Growing Up.

(Originally posted in NTUMC68 Class website May 9, 2008)

In late June 1972, on our way to America, we stopped in Tokyo
and bought a camera made by Canon. It was my first personal
owned camera and had been with me for the next 30 years until
there were "auto focus", or so called "dummy", and then "digital".

That faithful camera had helped me record our life since. It also had
captured every single precious and innocent moments of our
children growing up. I placed all of them in albums. Vol.1,2,3,..............

A few years ago, after our older daughter got married, I looked
through the albums, as I did once a while, and selected the pictures
best represent her early life since birth and put them together in
one new album called "Baby Mommy". The first page shows her
birth certificate with her photo and foot prints at birth. Her infant
baby's photos showed her various cute and funny expressions and
acts with her arms swinging, leg kicking like an illustrated Ta-Chi
exercise program. Her early youth life experiences with her Dad,
Mom,sister, brother, friends and schoolmates etc. were shown well
in the album without need for wording or added explanation.

Last month, when I was in her home in Baltimore, I picked up that
photo album and showed to my 3 years old grandson pointing to the
baby pictures and asked him "Who is this baby ?". He replied "Baby
Mommy!"

Yesterday, I started to do the same thing to create another new
album for our younger daughter, and may be later for my son as well.
My better half asked me if there were enough pictures left. I said there
were plenty of them and all the left over photos will continue to
stay with us for our own gratification.
