To Sir, with Love ( 吾愛吾師) was a great film shown in Taipei
during our final year at NTUMC. Although there was no comparison
between us and those boys and girls in the story, it did mean
something to us because we were about to graduate. The theme song
was quite popular and often played in our Intern Dormitory then.

It is a 1967 British drama film starring Sidney Poitier that deals with
social and racial issues in an inner city school. James Clavell both
directed and wrote the film's screenplay, based on the semi-
autobiographical novel of the same name by E. R. Braithwaite.

The film's title song "To Sir, with Love", sung by Lulu, reached
number one on the U.S. pop charts for the year.
