"真"

"真"

The other day, a layperson or "素人" (politically), who is a doctor called Ko P (Director of a University Trauma Center), running as an independent won the mayor’s race in Taipei, the Taiwan capital city.

It was said that there was a "Ko's Phenomenon", or it has something to do with the word "真".

Obviously, over the years, people there had been tired of "假", the artificial, the fake, the mimic, the bogus, the pseudo and the illegal.

We all love things that have the quality of  "真".  "真" means true, real, vivid, genuine, sincere, serious, innocent and authentic.

However, "真" cannot be the way for everything, and therefore I think "不假" is good enough in this world, noting the fact that there is a vast gray area between "真" and "假".
