Those Things In Which I Take Pleasure

戰國•宋玉《風賦》

楚襄王遊于蘭台之宮，宋玉、景差侍。有風颯然而至，王乃披襟而當之，
曰：“ 快哉此風！……”

Awesome moments happen to all of us throughout our lives. They make
our lives delightful and we feel “不亦快哉”.

There are things or moments in which I take pleasure:

An entrance to the woods:



We always choose the early morning hours on a weekday to visit Muir Woods as there are fewer tourists during this time period.

Upon entering the woods, we often shared the poem "鹿柴" by the ancient Chinese poet 王維:

空山不見人，但聞人語響。返景入深林，復照青苔上。


Touring my wife’s hometown while she served as my private tour guide:



While she was refreshing her old memories of the outings with her family and friends during her childhood and youth, her sweet memories seemed to become mine as well.


Revisiting my childhood hangout places with my brother:



We together strolled through the familiar sites and paths that still had the original looks. I felt like we were back in the good old days!
