盼 望 著 ， 盼 望 著 ， 東 風 來 了 ， 春 天 的 腳 步 近 了 。

Spring is really around the corner and we are about to celebrate
the first day of spring.

The first day of spring in the U.S. is considered to be around March 20
or 21, depending on what day the vernal equinox occurs. This is when
the sun sits directly above the equator on its apparent trip
northward. Saturday, March 20, is the first day of spring in 2010 in
the Northern Hemisphere.

An equinox occurs twice a year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is
inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the Sun being
vertically above a point on the Equator. The term equinox can also
be used in a broader sense, meaning the date when such a passage
happens. The name "equinox" is derived from the Latin aequus
(equal) and nox (night), because around the equinox, the night and
day are approximately equally long. An equinox happens each year
at two specific moments in time, when there is a location on the
Earth's Equator where the center of the Sun can be observed to be
vertically overhead, occurring around March 20/21 and September
22/23 each year.

We have already seen the signs of spring, just as what the Chinese
essayist 朱自清 had written in his essay “春“.

“ 山 朗 潤 起 來 了，水 漲 起 來 了，太 陽 的 臉 紅 起 來 了。”

“小 草 偷 偷 地 從 土 裏 鑽 出 來，嫩 嫩 的，綠 綠 的。風 輕 悄 悄 的，

“桃 樹、杏 樹、梨 樹，你 不 讓 我，我 不 讓 你，都 開 滿 了 花 趕
趟 兒。”

He said:

“春 天 像 小 姑 娘，花 枝 招 展 的，笑 著，走 著。”,
"春 天 像 剛 落 地 的 娃 娃，從 頭 到 腳 都 是 新 的，它 生 長 著 。",
“ 吹 面 不 寒 楊 柳 風，..... 像 母 親 的 手 撫 摸 著 你。”.................. .


And ever since we did the “Spring Forward”, I have come to
experience "春眠不覺曉，處處聞啼鳥。"
