往來成古今 (孟浩然)
消遙不計年 (李白)
How did the ancient poets feel or think about the “heaven and earth”
or “time and life” ?
阮籍 was a sky observer.
杜甫 watched them through the Great Lake and River.
孟浩然 thought them from a historical point of view.
And, obviously, 李白 didn’t care about them, as long as he
had access to his favorite “美酒”:
對酒不覺瞑
落花盈我衣
醉起步溪月
鳥還人亦稀
