"仙ㄟ" and "奧料"
A Day with JNL and YHL
The other day, my NTUMC1968 classmate JNL, or known as "仙ㄟ", and his lovely wife again came to San Francisco Bay Area to enjoy what he describes as "Latitude 37°N Climate". He said it is too hot and humid back in Taipei. In fact, the temperature there had broken the record recently.
Every year they came to the US to visit their daughters’ families and they are smart to choose this time of year. Practically they came here to 避暑.
Another classmate YHL, with a nickname "奧料", and his wife, from Central Valley California, happened to be staying in their bay front home by the San Francisco Bay. Therefore, we arranged a mini class reunion.
This time, we did not arrange any trip, although we did it often in the past when we got together. We simply relaxingly sitting in the back porch of JNL's daughter's house in the Bay Area, and spent most of the morning chatting, drinking, 古今多少事, 都付笑談中, while the wives were sharing among themselves their grandchildren’s fun stories in the kitchen area.
It was a beautiful day with cool breeze and a temperature in the upper 60s to low 70s. "仙ㄟ" in particular loves the weather here very much, and he explained to us the meaning of "Latitude 37°N Climate". As a matter of fact, the latitude of San Francisco is 37.7833° N.
