David Schiller 説，

古代詩人，李白與張先，應該是最會用，影子説故事的古詩人了。

在他的 "月下獨酌"，李白這麼寫：

花間一壺酒，獨酌無相親。
舉杯邀明月，對影成三人。
月既不解飲，影徒隨我身。
暫伴月將影，行樂須及春。
我歌月徘徊，我舞影零亂。
醒時同交歡，醉後各分散。
永結無情游，相期邈云漢。

張先，因為他很擅於用 "影" 字寫詞，而有 "張三影" 的美譽。

雲破月來花弄影。
簾押殘花影。
墮絮飛無影。
