Mother Earth and Guardian Angel

Mother Earth  (Yehtze  August 25, 2014)

Mother Earth, like us, needs a little stretch to relieve her stress. But, she has done that only once in a great while, noting the enormous weight she has to carry. I am sure that she has tried to do it as gentle as she can.

When the pressure is building up, she tries to hold on as long as she can. But, there is a always a threshold, she can only hold that much. Like all of us, she has to do a stretch so that she can relieve her stress or pressure. And, the extent of her stretch varies, depending on the intensity of the stress falling upon her. Her stretches can be as little as a quick negligible jerk, or as big as a major shake.

However, she always divides and spreads her stretches at different time with different intensities. She often starts with a major shake followed by the so called aftershocks with lesser intensity. Finally, she feels much relieved and then goes to sleep for a while. The most concern for us is that we simply do not know when she is under stress and can not take it anymore. She just would not tell us when she is under extreme stress. She always takes it upon herself.

Elise was sleeping in this playpen at my parents' house in Napa when the earthquake hit. Thank GOD she is all right!!! Not a scratch on her despite all the broken glass that landed in the playpen. Hope everyone affected by the earthquake is okay. We feel lucky and thankful. Elise has a guardian angel. Thank you, Lord.

Thank you all for your concern and well wishes! Special mention to my mom who had to stumble in the dark and fight through debris to get to baby Elise as soon as she could, and then held her in her arms all the rest of the night until we arrived in the morning. Still feeling grateful that everyone was safe. My thoughts to all the folks and families in Napa going through the recovery.
