“明天會更好”

"Tomorrow Will Be Better" (YouTube video)

In the mid 1980s in Taiwan, there was a popular song called “明天會更好”, which means “Tomorrow will be Better”.

The first week following my misfortune was really tough for me, both physically and mentally.

I tried not to depend on the analgesics, although they did help me live through and keep my spirit up.

As a matter of fact, the truth is that it is my spouse who has provided me her unconditional support, physically and mentally, during this difficult time.

Every morning, noticing the way I managed to get up, she asked me if I was feeling better (有卡好嘸?) and offered her assistance. My reply to her has always been “明天會更好”.

Every time she saw that I was able to move around at ease, she would ask if I had taken the analgesics. Obviously, she wanted to see the fact that I was able to do so without taking any medications.

Thinking “明天會更好”, or “Tomorrow will be Better”, has also kept me going.

Yesterday is gone. Today is okay. Tomorrow will be better.

  1. I think it is a great message to us. Thanks for sharing, and again I wish you a speedy recovery. Missed you at SF Pri-Med.

I was more handy before and I did a lot of the repairs myself. I had thought of better ways to do certain jobs. It makes me happy and it helps my work too. It is like "mastering one way would help a hundred other ways." Fixing the leak of a pipe would improve my suture techniques?

  2. I would supplement with another song "愛拼才會贏."

  3. The gospel at our church yesterday is to handle our cross well. We have to suffer much before receiving a reward of salvation.

Our life is sometimes a challenge and sometimes a feeling of contentment.

We know we're fine as long as we know there's another day to wake up for and a new meaning to look forward to. Speedy recovery. /LT
