Native American The Sioux
There are some similarities between Taiwan's "霧社事件"of 1930 and
American " Black Hills War", or the "Great Sioux War", of 1876–77.
Both stories are about defending their people and their way of life.
(Wikepdia)
Mona Rudao) reminds me of the
American Indian, Tashunka Witko (Sioux name), also known as
'Crazy Horse'.
Crazy Horse was born on Rapid Creek in the Black Hills of South
Dakota in about 1842. He defended his people and their way of life
in the only manner he knew.
Only after he saw the treaty of 1868 broken, he took up arms against
the U.S. Federal government to fight against encroachments on the
territories and way of life of the Lakota people. This treaty, signed by
the President of the United States, said:
"As long as rivers run and grass grows and trees bear leaves,
Paha Sapa - the Black Hills of Dakota - will forever be the sacred
land of the Sioux Indians."
While at Fort Robinson, Nebraska, under a flag of truce, he was
stabbed in the back by an American soldier and died September
6, 1877.
Crazy Horse died at age of 35. 莫那魯道 die at age of 48. One was
stabbbed, one committed suicide.
