白雲深處有人家

《山行》 唐朝杜牧

遠上寒山石徑斜，白雲深處有人家；
停車坐愛楓林晚，霜葉紅於二月花。

Another “千古傳誦” poem by 杜牧 , classical, romantic and sentimental,
just like his other work:

千里鶯啼綠映江，水村山郭酒旗風。
南朝四百八十寺，多少樓台煙雨中。

Or like

「落霞與孤鶩齊飛，秋水共長天一色」by 王勃 ;

「海上生明月，天涯共此時」 by 張九齡 ;

「寒山轉蒼翠，秋水日潺湲」 by 王維 ;

And again lovely as always, my NTUMC classmate D J. Lee has
borrowed "山行 " and created this hybrid poem:

Autumn in New England D. J. Lee

遠上寒山石徑斜,
A winding path leads toward the mountain high.
白雲深處有人家。
The crisp air softly blows under the blue sky.
停車坐愛楓林晚,
The sun blesses the earth with its colour gold.
霜葉紅於二月花
This is the moment of the year that I wish to hold.

D. J. Lee said "I borrowed the "山行 " to create this hybrid
poem, depicting Autumn in New England."
