"Crafty" Grandpa

"Crafty" Grandpa

Our grandson, Henry, loves to watch and do crafty stuff with grandpa. One day, he said to his mother, "Ah-Gong is the most crafty grandpa I have ever known."

Yesterday, our granddaughter, while we were in her house, handed me a piece of art work she had made in her Nature Camp, a wood stick with two feathers attached to the top. She wanted Ah-Gong to "improve" her work, pointing to the raw stick which had too many pointy knots and rough surface. She knew that Ah-Gong was good at it.

She happened to find the two feathers in the field around the Nature Camp, and got an idea to make her art work.

I brought it home, cut off all the pointy knots, polished the entire stick. Now the mission is accomplished.

In the eyes of my grandchildren, I am a crafty grandpa.

  1. Children feel they're loved & throughout the years will develop their trust. Love, faith & trust all go together. A good example are the bonsai plants you have grown & crafted it's branches the way you want them to grow./LT
