長亭外，古道邊，芳草碧連天，晚風拂柳笛聲殘，夕陽山外山。
天之涯，地之角，知交半零落，一觚濁酒盡餘歡，今宵別夢寒。

"窈窕淑女，君子好逑＂ It was a love story.

YSC, a friend of mine in the NTUMC1968 class, was a lucky man. He had already found a "窈窕淑女" during our college years.

It was in the summer of 1966, when we were in the ROTC program at 成功嶺, his girlfriend, now his lovely wife, often came to visit him there during the 星期外出假日s. One of their favorite hangout places was 南投中興新村.

One day, after having a great time together, they rested under a 花園涼亭. They were 情意綿綿, 你儂我儂, 臨別依依. Finally, while she was leaning on the rail, YSC passionately looked at her and sang a farewell song, " 長亭外，古道邊，芳草碧連天, ……................... .＂His girlfriend was so moved by his deep affection.

Upon his return after the ROTC program, she accepted his proposal and they were engaged.

This romantic love story was told by YSC himself during our recent class reunion cruise tour.
