Camellia flower in the rain

While the buds on the Wisteria vines have just come into sight and the

Azaleas are yet to bloom, I have been enjoying camellia blossoms in

my garden at this time of the year.

A flower without fragrance, camellia gives nothing but charming,

classy blooms. It also shows its sentimental silence, especially in the

rain.

A late winter storm continues to drop rain in the valley. I woke up at

dawn this morning and went to the window to embrace a fresh view of

my garden in the rain. Watching Camellia flowers in the rain reminds

me of a nostalgic yet pathetic old Taiwanese folk song “Rainy Night

Flowers” (雨夜花).
